Back in Dakar

Spent 6 days in Ngohe Boughel, a rural village in Senegal. No wifi so we posted nothing. That worked for the best as it gave us a chance to listen, speak, process, and have time for contemplative thought. An experience of a lifetime for all the students and me. We will post the hundreds of photos to a Flickr page when we return. We will now spend 3 days in congested, hot Dakar - the ferry to Goree Island to experience some history tomorrow and a city tour on Sunday and market shopping on Sunday. We will host a multi media presentation in September for the community. We hope you will join us then. This has been life changing, and even for me -  the peripatetic traveller. More to come early next week on Flickr.

What an amazing group of young men and women from EHHS whom I had the great fortune to experience this with. I am happy our future is in their hands.

Bon Voyage to Sénégal Party!

Fabulous Bon Voyage to Sénégal Party last evening hosted by the Pizzo family at their home on Miller Lane East. Lots of family, friends, and supporters attended. Thank you to everyone who have helped us make this project possible. We couldn't have done it without YOU! We are all so excited about our impending departure, this Friday!
